Designed for those who aren’t change professionals but find themselves at the sharp end of making change happen, these sessions provide hands-on practice in the real business events you’ll face when leading change.
Traditional change management training is great for those who want a career in change, but for those who must make change happen alongside their day job, there is often too much theory without the practical activities and ideas.
Even the name of this development programme has been created to inspire managers to want to attend. After all, change management training has two disadvantages: some believe change is so common we all naturally have the skills for it; others believe that managing change is so boring they don’t want to learn more about it.
This is a new approach, developed alongside managers who want to build their confidence and credibility, but do not have the time to waste on theories and models that they cannot relate to their work.
Each session provides activities that enable managers and team leaders to work with their teams to refine the scope of changes affecting their work; identify how they will be affected; learn the questions to ask and the criteria to apply to ensure they receive relevant information and practice opportunities from those developing the change; and simple, intuitive actions to embed change into procedures, policies and performance measures.
The content combines brief explanations with extensive breakout room practice, using proven “neurohacks” – practical techniques drawn from behavioural science that help people embrace and implement change effectively.
No Change Management Theory
You won’t learn about change curves, Kotter’s 8 steps, or formal change methodologies. Instead, you’ll learn practical skills for the actual business events you’ll face.
Focus on Your Role
This isn’t about becoming a change manager. It’s about being an effective line manager when change happens.
Immediate Application
Every technique can be used in your workplace immediately. There’s no gap between learning and doing.
Peer Learning
Your fellow participants face the same challenges. Sharing experiences and solutions with them is as valuable as the structured content.
Progressive Practice
By the end of eight sessions, you’ll have practiced these skills multiple times in different contexts, building genuine competence and confidence.
This workshop series is for:
- Line managers and team leaders responsible for implementing change within their teams
- Those who need practical help rather than theoretical frameworks
- Anyone who wants to confidently lead their team through transitions without needing to become a change management expert
